Much of the day will be spent outside. Rain or shine, the ceremony will be held in the forest.
Attire The bride will wear a wedding gown. The groom will wear a tuxedo. You are invited to wear WHATEVER you are comfortable in. However, we STRONGLY recommend shoes that you will be comfortable wearing when walking in the forest. High heel and dress shoes will not be comfortable.
Transportation A shuttle service will operate between the Parkway hotels at Hwy 7 & 404 and the "PepperPot". Please email us (wedding@borges.jewett.ca) if you want to make use of this service so we can provide departure times. Transportation will be available on the property for those who would rather travel by golf cart.
Games A number of voluntary games near the Pond will be available to those who wish to match wits or brawn. Or, if you wish, you can go for a beautiful walk through the woods.
Accommodation Hotel Rooms are reserved in the Parkway Best Western and Sheraton at Hwy 7 & 404 (both at 1-800-668-0101). Please call them directly to confirm a reservation before July 28. Mention that you are part of our wedding for a better rate. Camping You are welcome to camp on the property overnight. You will require a tent and sleeping bag. Bathrooms and a pond for swimming will be available!
Sunday Brunch For those who camp on the property and any others who are interested, we will be hosting a pancake breakfast at the Pepperpot house.
Weather Franny has consulted with the weather bureau over the last 100 years and found that August 28th is a good bet. Nuno consulted the farmer's almanac and found that he is probably more likely to get reliable information from a tea reading. Although we will be feverishly performing the Dry Dance in preparation for the wedding on Saturday, please check the weather forecast the morning of the wedding. It will be cooler at night than is forecasted. Please bring warm enough clothes for the evening. If it rains, the ceremony will still be outside. Bring a raincoat and umbrella if rain is a possibility.

Time Capsule

Bring a few items for Franny and Nuno's Wedding Time Capsule! It will be opened on their 10th wedding anniversary. Suggested items: Letters (memories of funny, poignant or embarrassing moments of the couple or of yourself with the couple, your wishes for their future together, etc.), Photos (of the couple, yourself with the couple: limit of ten photos for each household, up to 8x10 inches), Other (photo CD, savings bonds, cash, special stamps/coins, jewelry). Place all items inside a plastic ziplock bag and label it so they will know who it is from. If interested in bringing other items, contact Elizabeth at jehannedarc@ekit.com to make sure they'll fit. At the wedding you will find the time capsule ready to receive your items. If you did not bring anything, there will be options available to add something to the capsule.
